Vika Stansky-Hernandez has been dancing since the age of 7 in various dance styles including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and modern dance. Over the last 7 years, she has been training capoeira and afro-brazilian dance. She is a student of world renown dancer, choreographer, and capoeira Mestre Mariano Silva. She is part of Brazilian Cultural Arts Center and Capoeira Batuque in Santa Barbara, California as well as Bahia Magia Dance Company. She has also continued her training in Afro-Brazilian dance and capoeira while living in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Recently moving to the Miami area, she is sharing the beautiful culture that has been passed down to her with the guidance and blessing of her mentor.
